The Democratic Party! who is the next?

2014... yeah! the democratic party for new Indonesia! ;D

this year is the next step to make indonesia becomes a great country,election. as a democracy country, this is awaited by everybody that we choosed president and the representative of people for carry out their duties in goverment. in indonesia There are 12 political parties in which they compete with each other to captivate the public to get the most votes. we as voters, must be carefull to choose the representative of people.


we know, indonesia have 3 candidate president. Yeah, Joko Widodo, Prabowo Subianto, and Aburizal Bakrie
  1. Joko Widodo.   
Joko Widodo was born in Surakarta, Central Java, completed primary school at SDN (Sekolah Dasar Negeri or State Primary School) Sumber Surakarta, then continued in Public Junior High School (Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri or SMPN) at SMPN 1 Surakarta and Public Senior High School (Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri or SMAN) at SMAN 6 Surakarta. Jokowi graduated with an engineering degree from the Faculty of Forestry at Gadjah Mada University in 1985. When he first ran for the office of mayor of Surakarta, many doubted the ability of a man who had worked as a property and furniture businessman. However, after a year in office Jokowi had successfully led many progressive breakthroughs which became widely praised nationally. One academic research shows that his leadership style includes an inter-actional relationship with the people of Solo, through which he is able to induce people's strong faith to him. He adopted the development framework of European cities (which he frequently traveled to as a businessman) into his own city of Surakarta.

His awards and honours include the following:
2008: Jokowi was listed by Tempo magazine as one of the 'Top 10 Indonesian Mayors of 2008'.
2011: He was awarded the Bintang Jasa Utama by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
2012: Jokowi received 3rd place of the 2012 World Mayor Prize for "transforming a crime-ridden city into a regional center for art and culture and an attractive city to tourists. He was listed as one of "The Leading Global Thinkers of 2013" in Foreign Policy (magazine). In February 2013 he was nominated as the global mayor of the month by the The City Mayors Foundation based in London.
2014: Jokowi was listed by Fortune (magazine) as one of the 'The World's 50 Greatest Leader'

       2. Prabowo Subianto

Prabowo Subianto (born 17 October 1951) is an Indonesian businessman, politician and former Lieutenant General in the Indonesian National Armed Forces. In the Indonesian presidential election, 2009 he ran for the vice-presidency as part of Megawati Sukarnoputri's campaign for president. In November 2011, Prabowo announced his intention to run for president in the next Indonesian presidential election, 2014. Prabowo is son of Sumitro Djojohadikusumo, an Indonesian economist. Prabowo also the former husband of Siti Hediati "Titiek" Suharto, the late President Suharto's daughter.Prabowo enrolled in Indonesia's Military Academy in Magelang in 1970. He graduated in 1974 with others who would gain senior leadership positions such as Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
After leaving the military, Prabowo joined his brother Hashim Djojohadikusumo's business. He purchased Kiani Kertas, a paper pulp and plantation company based in Mangkajang, East Kalimantan. Prior to Prabowo's purchase, Kiani was owned by Bob Hasan, a businessman close to former Presiden Suharto. Prabowo rebranded Kiani Kertas to Kertas Nusantara.

      3. Aburizal Bakrie

Aburizal Bakrie (born 15 November 1946) is a politician, and widely recognised as one of the most successful pribumi (native Indonesian) businessmen in Indonesia. From 2004 until 2005 Bakrie served as Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economy. From 2005 until 2009 he served as Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare. Since 2009, Bakrie serves as the Chairman of the Golkar Party and since June 2012 as his party's official candidate for Indonesia's 2014 Presidential election.




Soekarno, Soeharto, B.J Habibie, Abdurahman Wahid, Megawati Soekarnoputri,, and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono are the president of Republic of Indonesia. And now, who's the next president? we'll see on july :)
